No More Heroes director says Nintendo Wii is for non-gamers.

“Whilst the sales weren’t as high as I hoped, other titles for Wii aren’t selling so well either,” said Goichi Suda in an interview with CVG published on Wednesday. “Only Nintendo titles are doing well. This isn’t just because of the current situation in Japan, as this is happening outside Japan.”

He went on to say, “Before I was making this game, I wasn’t expecting that Wii would be a console targeted only for non-gamers. I expected more games for hardcore gamers. The reality is different to what I expected.”

Though Nintendo has made a killing on Wii, the company is not immune from poor sells of traditional games in their homeland or abroad. In 2006, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess did little more than induce yawns from Japanese gamers, and didn’t sell as expected in the U.S. Inversely, Activision’s Guitar Hero 3 has sold like gangbusters on Wii.

However, the possibility exists where some third-party Wii developers may grow impatient with failure, and ditch the platform altogether much like previous Nintendo systems.

This is a pretty good game. After a cataclysmic meteor strike exterminates 90% of the population, the survivors must battle barbarians, disease, and strongmen who seek only to secure their own power.

Advance Wars has been reinvented. Set amidst a world in chaos and featuring new characters and settings, a gritty look, an engaging storyline, and online Wi-Fi battles and map trading. Try you hand with new COs and units, realistic graphics, and a new environment.

Strategy fans will rejoice over the long-awaited inclusion of Wi-Fi play, which adds depth and re-playability. Use Nintendo WiFi Connection and battle against a friend halfway across the world, or use the map editor to create, trade and battle on your own custom maps. Anyone familar with this tell us what you think about it. Don’t forget, tell us any tips, tricks or cheats. Wii all love our Wii!
